carson;s middle period
starting all over again was jc's first theme song . bill nimmo was jc's first announcer .after his early success on local tv and his failure in prime time for cbs in hollywood , jc moved to new york to start over again. this quiz shoe in the late afternoon proved to be a ratings winner and set the stage for his great run on the tonight show .

Killing time
Later in life Johnny always downplayed his early efforts in the fifties. I'm afraid he was right in doing so. It's probably hindsight but it looks like he is just killing time until the "real thing" comes along. Anyway, he is still much better than Bergen/McCarthy.
The plug for "Sugarfoot" gives away the air date: April 15, 1958.

Not Racist At All
I don't understand why this is considered to be racist. It's a fun show for fun people. Of course, it would be even better if it featured saiyans.

Here's Johnny...
I've always heard of this show, but was never able to see it. I think I heard Ed McMahon laughing at some of Johnny's jokes...Thanks for the upload!
